Send Direct Message On Instagram
To send your initial DM on Instagram, take a picture as you usually would. You can apply all the same filters to "DM photos" as you could with all various other Instagram blog posts. When you prepare to send it straight to someone (or a team of individuals)-- tap NEXT as usual.
From the Share to menu towards the top of the screen, faucet DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot listed below). Currently faucet inside the Write a caption ... window, and also type out your message (see # 2 in screenshot below).
When you're done composing your message, faucet OK.
Now scroll through your listing of Instagram calls as well as touch the circle next to their name so that a green "check mark" appears. NOTE: you could select greater than one recipient if you wish to share a message or image with a team of people.
When you're ready to send the photo as well as message, tap SEND TO (NAME).
When they open up Instagram, they'll be presented with an alert on the "mailbox" icon as highlighted in the screenshot below.
After tapping that mail box, they'll see that a new message as been sent out from you.
When they touch the message, it exists to them in the style showed listed below.
From here they can reply to your message.
If/when they do, you will have a notification symbol in your mailbox.
The "blue bubble" (see screenshot) shows that the image has been commented on (as well as how much time ago).
When you tap the 'response' in your mailbox, you'll be be able to view their reaction, as well as continue the 'conversation' if you 'd such as.
